Cleansing Discipleship: Year 1
It is with great joy that we make available to you the all new Cleansing Discipleship-Year one program. Much prayer and labor have gone into this effort. It has been designed with a purpose. That purpose can be seen in its very structure.
Year 1 - Preparing For War
First Step: Who He is and who we are
Session 1: Jesus Christ the Deliverer: keeping him first
Session 2: The Lifestyle of Holiness
Session 3: The Heart of a Servant
Second Step: The Weapons of Our Warfare
Session 4: The Blood of Jesus
Session 5: The Name of Jesus
Session 6: The Sword of the Spirit
Session 7: Praying in the Spirit
Third Step: Yes, Your and Intercessor
Session 8: The Call to Intercede
Session 9: Warfare Intercession
As set forth above, there are three essential steps to walk through in preparation to minister in the area of deliverance. The first step: Who he is and who we are is presented in three sessions. First we need to keep Jesus Christ in a pre-eminent position as Lord and King of our very lived. In understanding who he is, we also see the power of Jesus’ cross, stripping the adversary of his power and authority. This builds our faith and allows us to move in boldness and confidence. We want each disciple to examine and prepare their heart to minister to others. It has been my observation that if the heart of the minister is not right, ministry goes wrong. We must be committed to a balanced walk of holiness to allow God the purest vessel for his use. Then we follow Jesus’ example in maintaining and ministering with a servant’s heart. There is nothing that strikes fear in our enemy as a “rightly related” man or woman of God!
When our hearts are right before God, we are ready to take the second step: The Weapons of Our Warfare. 2 Corinthians 10:4, 5 says:
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
We have sought to place in the hands of every disciple the weapons necessary to engage in successful spiritual warfare- his Blood, His Name, His Word, and His Spirit.
Ephesians 6:18 declares that after being equipped we must pray. The third step: Yes You are an Intercessor imparts an understanding of the dynamics of prayer and our personal responsibility to intercede, We are called to be intercessors- We must heed that call and learn how to step into intercessory warfare and gain the lord’s victory!
I hope and pray that you will benefit greatly from the following study and increasingly become a more effective disciple of Jesus Christ. May his truth, love, and grace be upon you as you continue to grow in Him and His ways.
To Him be all glory, honor and praise.
